Item Description
3.25x5.5" card has nice bold signature black ink on reverse "A.C. Anson." "Cap" Anson was the "the greatest hitter and greatest national league player-manager of the 19th century." Was first baseman for the Rockford Forest Citys in 1871, Philadelphia Athletics in 1872-1875, Chicago White Stocking/Colts in 1876-1897. His primary team was the Chicago Clubs and he managed the Philadelphia Athletics in 1875, Chicago White Stockings/Colts in 1879-1897 and the New York Giants in 1878. Card has some light aging and is in Exc. condition with an Exc. signature. Anson was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1939. Accompanying image is for catalog display purposes only.
