Item Description
First two are 15/16". The first has long and short multiple craze lines but remains a wonderful rebus bicycle item c.1896. Text is "The Orient Is A (fly)-er." Very tiny speck of porcelain off below the fly's head. Bottom text names O'Hara who primarily made watch dials but also political and bicycling items. Also see lot #531. Second item is by the same firm but this is all porcelain rather than having a brass reverse and stud. Back of the porcelain carries their name and front has beautiful design of a bicycle wheel with entwined blue ribbon reading "Amesbury Cycles." Next are four stickpins each about 3" tall. First showing rider reads "Anderson Transit." Second is figural silvered brass showing a bicycle seat with wire mess center beneath company name "Mesinger." Third is pennant with name "Ben Hur." Last is company insignia of "Columbia/Bicycle/You See Them Everywhere." Couple trivial tiny bends on this one. Overall except as noted Exc. to Mint. All very early pieces.
